Annie Rich- - Kenny Selcer

Annie Rich has toured throughout the US and Canada, performing at folk festivals such as the Colorado Music Festival. She plays contemporary folk/rock/country music, and her music has been featured on television and radio as far away as Australia, England, and Costa Rica. Annie recently performed at Cotuit Center for the Arts and is currently promoting her latest release, "Places of the Heart." Kenny Selcer will join Rich on guitar. Selcer traverses the musical map with infectious melodies, unstoppable rhythms, and a seductive, bluesy groove.

The Comedy of Errors

\tShakespeare's furiously paced comedy will be staged in a contemporary world into which walk three prohibited foreigners who see everything for the first time.

Two sets of twins separated at birth collide in the same city without meeting for one crazy day, as multiple mistaken identities lead to confusion on a grand scale. And for no one more so than Antipholus of Syracuse and his servant Dromio who, in search of their brothers, arrive in a land entirely foreign to their distant home. A buzzing metropolis, to the outsiders it appears a place of wonderment and terror, where baffling gifts and unexplained hostilities abound.

\tSleeping or waking? mad or well advised?

\tKnown unto these, and to myself disguised!

Consistently recognised by strangers, the visitors question their very selves as the turmoil escalates. Meanwhile, Aegeon, father to the Antipholus twins, has been captured searching for his sons and, as an illegal immigrant, is sentenced to death at sunset.

Jim Shaw

Jim Shaw plays fingerstyle acoustic guitar solos, old-time banjo, and sings (mostly blues). He started out playing woodwinds, but switched to acoustic guitar during the "folk scare" of the 60s. (He probably remembers that obscure Kingston Trio song that's been bothering you for the last 10 years!) Jim recently released his first CD, "Homemade Jam," which will be available for purchase.

Being A Generous Church - Together

Description:

The Stewardship and Mission and Justice ministry teams continue their free series of regional breakfasts throughout the year to discuss best practices for being a generous church - within and beyond the local congregation. Pastors and lay leaders: bring a team from your church to meet others who are engaged in a common mission.

Discussion leaders will include a mix of MACUCC program staff, area ministers, board members, and commission members, as well as national UCC mission staff.
